What is a drop-stitch pool?
A drop-stitch pool is an inflatable pool built with thousands of tiny threads woven between two PVC panels. Inflated to a high working pressure, those threads pull the walls taut into flat, rigid panels — the same construction used in inflatable paddleboards. Unlike a classic single-wall inflatable pool, the walls don’t sag, bow or flex.

How it works
A drop-stitch wall is built from two PVC panels, woven together by thousands of internal threads. Inflate it, and those threads pull tight — pulling the two panels into a single, flat, rigid panel, instead of letting them balloon outward the way a classic single-chamber inflatable does. Threads under tension, not just air under pressure — that’s what makes the panel rigid.
A classic single-wall inflatable pool has no internal threads holding it flat — just one chamber of air, which is why the walls bow, sag and lean once the water goes in. Drop-stitch construction is a different category of build, not a thicker version of the same one.

Why it costs more than a frame pool
You’re not paying for a bigger box — you’re paying for walls that hold their shape.
A classic single-wall inflatable pool costs less because it does less: thin PVC, no internal structure, nothing stopping the walls from bulging and sagging under the weight of the water. A drop-stitch pool costs more because of what’s inside the wall — thousands of woven threads, denser PVC, and a lot more manufacturing time to get a wall that actually stays flat and rigid.

How long does setup take?

Can the wall really support weight?
