Why ‘Hippool’?

Part hippo, part hip-hip-hooray. A name that made us smile first — and turned out to say exactly what we build: something solid, having a good time.

The hippo

Hippos don’t swim so much as hold their ground — they walk the riverbed, planted and unhurried, while the water moves around them. That’s the feeling we wanted for a family pool: not a flimsy thing you brace for a puncture, not a steel frame slowly rusting through a season. Something that just holds. Our drop-stitch walls do the same job the hippo does — they don’t flex, they don’t wobble, they hold their shape under pressure. The full construction story lives on our Technology page; here, it’s just the animal that gave us the idea.

The hip hip hip

The second half is simpler: the little cheer you let out cannonballing in on the first hot day of summer. We wanted a name that carried both halves at once — the calm, structural confidence of the animal, and the noisy, splashing joy of the thing it’s named after. Robust and fun aren’t opposites to us. They’re the same idea, said twice.

A reachable operation

Hippool is run by BME Consulting — not a container that’s disappeared to the other side of the world. Spare parts in stock, and a person who answers when you write in.

  • Honest about where it ships from — local stock, cleared through customs. All-in pricing, no hidden fees, no surprise on delivery.
  • Spare parts, in stock — Not a one-and-done import — parts you can actually order later.
  • A person, not a ticket queue — Covered by your consumer rights — replies within 48 hours.

Why we built Hippool

We kept watching families choose between an inflatable pool that went soft before summer was even over, or a steel-frame pool that rusted out and split in the sun by season two. Nothing rigid in between — until now. So we built the in-between: drop-stitch walls, family-sized, built for our summers.

  • No frame to rust
  • Family-sized
  • Built for our summers

What we stand for

Honest about the limits. We tell you about the level-ground thing before you buy, not after — same with sizing and setup.

Family first. Active supervision, stable footing, no built-in foothold for little climbers — safety is a design input, not an afterthought.

Design that belongs outdoors. A pool is outdoor furniture you swim in — it should look like it was chosen, not just inflated.

Meet the pod

The pod: the people (and the occasional dog) this whole thing was built for. Our backyards, our summers — not a stock photo of someone else’s.
