  • We’re not a Canadian company, and we don’t pretend to be one. The consumer protection law of your province still applies to what we sell you, and we answer to it.

  • You have a named person for anything about your personal information — our Privacy Officer (responsable de la protection des renseignements personnels).
  • The shop runs on Shopify. They host it; we run it.

We’re a French company selling to customers in Canada. We put that on the first line rather than at the bottom of a page nobody reads. It doesn’t reduce your rights by one line: the consumer protection law of your province applies to everything we sell you here, and we answer to it — and to the Competition Bureau for anything to do with how we advertise and price.

What it also means, honestly: we don’t have a shopfront in Canada you can walk into. What we do have is a registered company with a real address, and an email that a person actually reads and answers within 48 hours. They’re above, they’re on a public register, and they work.

2. Who answers, and where

We’re established in France, and nowhere else. We say it plainly here because it’s the question a careful buyer asks, and because a vague answer would be worse than an honest one.

  • We have no office, no branch and no agent in Canada. The address above is our registered office, and it’s the address that answers.
  • That doesn’t put your rights out of reach. The consumer protection law of your province applies to this sale whatever we write anywhere on this site, and the routes below are open to you.
  • Start with us — contact@hippool.com, and we come back to you within 48 hours. Most things get fixed there, faster than anywhere else.
  • If we can’t sort it out together: the consumer protection office of your province or territory, and, for misleading advertising or pricing, the Competition Bureau (federal).

Hippool™ is a trade mark of BME Consulting. The name, the logo, the words on this site, the product photography, the illustrations and the page designs are ours (or licensed to us), and they’re protected by copyright.

You may quote us, link to us, share a page, or write about the product — including critically. Please don’t copy our product pages, reuse our images in a listing of your own, or use our name or logo in a way that suggests we endorse you.

6. About the information on this site

We work hard to keep prices, specifications, delivery information and availability accurate and up to date. If something is clearly and obviously wrong — a price with a digit missing, a specification that contradicts the product itself — we’ll correct it, and our Terms of Sale explain what happens to an order placed against an obvious error. We don’t use that as a way to withdraw a real promotion.
